Workforce Australia client, Yeliz, was born in Turkey. She moved to Australia in 2007.

When she started working with Job Coach, Alex in Auburn, NSW, she was uncertain what her goals were and what kind of job would suit her.

Yeliz was living with medical conditions, which meant she could only work part time. She also has a limited employment history which was impacting her ability to find work.

“Yeliz’s goal was to find work that suited her needs and secure a career in Australia where she can be independent and financially stress-free,” said Alex.

Yeliz shared with Alex that her current financial instability was a big concern of hers. So, Alex referred Yeliz into the MoneyMinded program to gain an understanding of setting SMART financial goals; creating and managing budgets; developing networks; understanding credit, loans and debt, and accessing financial counselling to ease financial pressure.

Alex also assisted with creating a new resume which boosted employment opportunities for Yeliz. She found confidence in applying for vacancies knowing her resume was the best it could be.

Since commencing with atWork Australia, Yeliz experienced ups and downs with work opportunities as her medical conditions and personal circumstances were affecting her reliability.

Working collaboratively with Alex, Yeliz was able to secure a role as a Canteen Assistant.

atWork Australia supported her financially with fuel vouchers to ensure she could get to her interview and her first days at work.

She now has ongoing support to assist her in managing her health conditions and her commitment to work.

“I continue to support Yeliz so that she can continue in a role she is enjoying,” said Alex.
