Western Diagnostic Pathology were looking for someone to fill a role as a courier when they reached out to atWork Australia for the very first time.
They were connected with Employer Engagement Consultant, Macarena, who got to know the role, it’s requirements and the values of Western Diagnostic Pathology.
From here, Macarena interviewed some of atWork Australia’s clients, and prepared them for the role at Western Diagnostic Pathology. She then referred the most suitable candidates to the team.
“We referred some suitable candidates who have been valuable, motivated and suited to the company,” said Macarena.
Macarena discussed with the team some incentives that atWork Australia could offer to assist with training and induction, and so that a work trial could be implemented to ensure the role was the right fit for the client, and the client a right fit for the role.
“The work trial was a useful way to be able to assess the suitability of the candidate to the nature of the job and to ensure they were the right fit for the culture,” said Macarena.
“It is a delight working with the atWork Australia consultants as they are quick to respond and always eager to help,” said Christina, People and Culture Business Partner at Western Diagnostic Pathology.
For our client who landed the courier role, the opportunity means a route closer to his home which has helped him maintain a work life balance that supports his mental health.
