Tracey (55), is on the Disability Support Pension and decided to re-enter the workforce. Hailing from a background in retail, Tracey has previously worked as a manager for a local bottle shop. Tracey is living with Arthritis and Fibromyalgia which makes it difficult for her to hold objects, stand and sustain ongoing employment.
Tracey reached out to atWork Australia in Mount Hawthorn where she met her Job Coach, Lachlan. Lachlan worked with Tracey on highlighting her transferable skills, abilities and experience. He worked with Tracey in identifying her strengths and weaknesses as well as providing support with resume building, wage incentives and referring Tracey to available employment positions.
Tracey was very proactive as she attended her appointments and interviews organised by her Job Coach. Due to this, Lachlan was able to find a role for her in less than a month. However, due to COVID-19, this role was no longer available and Lachlan was able to secure a more sustainable Kitchen Attendant role for Tracey in less than six months.
When Lachlan told Tracey this excellent news she was: “excited, appreciative and eager to commence employment.” Tracey expressed her gratitude to Lachlan for his consistent assistance and support.
Lachlan says: “Tracey has been open to the assistance and eager to get started.”
Tracey’s employer Muzz Buzz Jandakot are happy to have Tracey’s on their team as she is a hardworking employee.
Phyza from Muzz Buzz Jandakot says: “Tracey is a hardworking employee, we love having her here.”
Job Coach Lachlan says: “Tracey has always been very proactive in her pursuit of finding employment, it was a pleasure to work with and support her. The team at Muzz Buzz Jandakot have been fantastic in incorporating her into their family business.”
