‘Dedicated, happy and inspiring’ is how Job Coach, Maggie, describes Disability Employment Services client, Joeann.
After entering the atWork Australia office in Nowra, New South Wales, Joeann has achieved remarkable milestones on her journey to her first job. It was thanks to the guidance and support she received through atWork Australia and also through MAS, after attending their program – Connecting Women to Trades.
After getting to know Joeann, Maggie was eager to hear where she wanted to be – in employment. As a key first step on her journey, she was enrolled within Connecting Women to Trades program.
Maggie states, “During her time in the program, Joeann’s confidence soared as she honed valuable skills for the job market. She was not only taught how to dress for success, but also received a generous wardrobe makeover, ensuring she looked and felt her best for interviews and career opportunities.”
Whilst learning how to look and feel physically confident, Maggie worked on building Joeann’s confidence to navigating the interview process and workforce.
The combination of the assistance from the program as well as the tailored support from Maggie, proved to be the perfect duo for Joeann.
“She now has a solid foundation for meaningful employment and all her future endeavors. She has a greater outlook on life”, Maggie claims.
