Tahnee had a job when she first started with atWork Australia in Rockingham, WA. However, her employer couldn’t give her enough hours, leaving her under employed.
Tahnee lives with physical disabilities and mental health which has impacted her being able to complete additional hours in her current role.
She started working with Disability Employment Services Job Coach Tayla, looking for a new career path more suited to her strengths.
Tahnee regularly attended her appointments and together with Tayla they looked at her strengths and types of employment that would suit her.
They worked on increasing Tahnee’s confidence in interviews so she could also sell those strengths to her future employer.
Tahnee was prepared for future employment and support to gain her white card, while the atWork Australia Employer Engagement Team worked to find the right opportunity for her.
“Tahnee was determined in her journey to find employment,” said Tayla.
“Her confidence has grown immensely since starting with atWork Australia, and it continues to grow. She is a hard worker who deserves all the incredible things ahead of her.
Tahnee then landed a role as an Administration Officer, and atWork Australia her to purchase work related clothing for her new role.
She was transitioned to In-Work Support and is now supported by In-Work Support Consultant, Chloe.
Chloe is working with Tahnee to keep her hours up and to thrive in her new role.
“Tahnee is always striving for excellence. She has recently gained more responsibilities at work by going above and beyond,” said Chloe.
“She has come out of her shell since working and it is great to see her thrive.”
