Workforce Australia client, Sinisa, chose atWork Australia after his wife recommended our services. He was connected to atWork Australia in Warrawong, NSW.

With most of Sinisa’s employment experience being overseas, his licences and tickets were not recognised in Australia.

Sinisa’s background was in dogging and rigging, an industry who needed workers in the local area.

He managed to land some short-term work and a promise of a role if he could update his tickets to the Australian standard.

He worked with In-Work Support Coach, Nathan, to update his tickets to ensure he could continue in his meaningful employment.

“By upskilling him with Australian standard tickets, Sinisa was able to continue to work in an industry he enjoys,” said Nathan.

Updating these qualifications was expensive and without the support of atWork Australia, Sinisa would have found it difficult to obtain the qualifications.

atWork Australia also supported him to purchase work related clothing for his role.

“Sinisa is thriving now that he has the skills required to do the job,” said Nathan.

Nathan has also supported Sinisa to report his hours of work to Centrelink and navigate through that process now he is working.
