After spending two years out of the workforce, Workforce Australia client, Jade (33), entered the atWork Australia office in Kadina, SA, for assistance.
Jade has caring responsibilities of a loved one, so finding part-time employment was essential to ensuring that she would be able to support herself financially whilst also continuing her caring responsibilities. This was something that she mentioned to Job Coach, Daniel, in her first appointment.
From the moment, Daniel met Jade, he thought he knew of the perfect employer for her with one of our employment partners. Before suggesting this employer to Jade, he spent time with her getting to her, her skills, and her goals.
This information only solidified his thoughts, so, he mentioned to her the employer he had in mind and asked if she would be interested in their services before contact was made. She was indeed interested, so the Employer Engagement Consultant got in touch with the employer and marketed Jade to them.
After hearing of Jade, the employer was interested in meeting her, so an interview was arranged.
Together, Daniel and Jade worked on interview skills and honed in on these skills within a mock interview setting. All her hard work paid off, and she was later offered this position as a part time Laundry Attendant.
Jade’s motivation did not end once receiving the job, instead she shifted her motivation into obtaining her driver’s licence, and atWork Australia was able to financially support her in purchasing tyres for her car.
Since the beginning of her journey, In-Work Support Coach, Chantelle, has noticed a dramatic change in her attitude towards life. She is grateful to have been a part of her continued success.
