Novotel is a large employer in the hospitality and accommodation industry in the Barossa, South Australia region.
The atWork Australia team got to know the variety of roles available including housekeeping, food and beverage and administration roles. They learnt what the team was looking for from their staff members.
When Novotel had a variety of roles on offer, atWork Australia set up an information session for our clients.
This allowed the team to thoroughly prepare clients for the roles prior to their interviews.
“atWork Australia do the hard work and screen clients first. This creates less work for us and means no time wasters. We gain people who are wanting to work in these roles,” said Kylie, Talent and Culture Coordinator at Novotel.
Knowing the roles on offer, the atWork Australia team can prepare clients for new opportunities at Novotel by pre-training and helping clients gain qualifications in hospitality.
Since the beginning of the partnership, four of atWork Australia’s clients have found meaningful employment.
“My contact at atWork Australia, Emma, screens clients before sending their resumes through. This saves me time,” said Kylie.
When an atWork Australia client is placed, they show up on their first day ready for work. atWork Australia supports clients to purchase all the work related personal protective equipment, and uniforms they need.
The work environment at Novotel is also suitable for many of our clients as they have an initial training system that sets people from all backgrounds up for success. All new starters are partnered with a buddy for training, to ensure they have the right support during their first weeks.
“atWork Australia do the hard work and screen clients first, creating less work for our team,” said Kylie, Novotel Barossa.
