Meet Cameron, a dedicated InWork Support Coach at atWork Australia.
Prior to his current position, Cameron worked as a Job Coach and worked within the Client Solutions Centre. He has a great understanding of all aspects of atWork Australia, allowing him to bring a unique perspective to his clients.
“Helping others has always been a passion of mine. There’s nothing more fulfilling than making a positive difference in someone’s life and empowering them to achieve their goals,” said Cameron.
In addition to his employment services experience, Cameron has also worked within the creative and hospitality industries. He still exercises these skills within his hobbies of gaming and cooking.
When reflecting on his career so far, two standout client stories came to mind. One client who is autistic, who Cameron helped get his first ever job in programming, which was his dream job.
“For someone on the autism spectrum, navigating the job market can be particularly daunting, so achieving his goal not only changed his life but also gave him the motivation to continue growing in his chosen career,” said Cameron.
The second client story is Kishore (pictured) who is a wheelchair user. As a client of atWork Australia, Kishore was invited to test Woolworths’ new accessible checkout. This ultimately led him to gain employment with Woolworths Parramatta.
One thing that you might not know about Cameron is that he is a very cultural person.
“I come from a Lebanese Australian background. I enjoy not only my own culture, but I love to learn and experience other cultures, whether it’s a special occasion or trying different native dishes,” said Cameron.
