Workforce Australia client Sheree is a principal carer to her nephew who lives with disability. She was looking for a position that she both loved and could cater to her caring responsibilities.
Within Sheree’s initial appointment with atWork Australia, she was connected with Job Coach Hollie in the local Corrimal office in NSW. Sheree outlined her ideal position would be flexible within school hours and close to home in case of emergencies, as she does not have a Driver’s Licence.
Hollie took note of all these requirements and assured Sheree the perfect position is out there for her, and it would be one that she enjoyed.
Whilst on her employment journey Sheree completed our in-house ‘Ready Set Go’ program to understand the requirements of the Workforce Australia program.
Whilst job searching for positions, Hollie found a role that ticked all Sheree’s requirements. A customer service position at a local McDonald’s restaurant. After consulting with Sheree, Hollie put her forward for this position.
After a very successful interview, Sheree was offered the casual position and was ecstatic and could not wait to start her new position.
This position required Sheree to wear steel capped work boots. atWork Australia were able to purchase these for her.
Sheree has now started and greatly enjoys her job and the flexibility, freedom, and the independence the position provides her and her nephew.
Sheree is so thankful for all the tailored assistance she received from Hollie and the greater team from the atWork Australia office in Corrimal.
