In September of this year, Workforce Australia client, Bec, attended our MoneyMinded program after being referred by her Job Coach from the Balaklava, SA, office.
She was referred after sharing that she is not confident with managing her finances.
The MoneyMinded program helps clients to make informed decisions and manage money to reduce financial stressors and barriers to employment.
Pre-employment trainer, Emma, states, “Bec joined us for MoneyMinded in September and greatly enjoyed the program. She has been so inspired that, on joining me again this time for Jobs Now she also brought her MoneyMinded journal she created, to share her plans with me.”
This journal was filled with the full budget breakdown for her upcoming holiday. “She wanted to make the most of this opportunity whilst also being conscience of her upcoming surgery when she gets home.”
Not only did her participation in these programs allow her to upskill on her journey to employment, but they also meant that she was meeting her PBAS requirements on the way.
Emma shares “These financial skills create a stable home environment for any client to confidently look for work.”
atWork Australia looks forward to continuing to work with Bec after she recovers from surgery.
