Disability Employment Services client, Angelina, came to atWork Australia unmotivated and feeling that she could not get a job with her barriers. Fast forward to now, Angelina is happy, excited, and confident about her job and her future, thanks to Job Coach, Blaser.
Angelina entered the atWork Australia office in Fairfield, NSW, feeling indifferent but optimistic for employment.
After spending the past 15 years out of employment, she was looking for a position that assisted her financial situation and gave her experience, all whilst being something that was sustainable to her and her goals.
In her first appointment with Blaser, the pair got to know each other so that they could create a tailored job plan that would assist in progressing her into employment. In these conversations, Blaser took note of Angelina’s physical and emotional barriers.
To best support Angelina within the next stages, Blaser worked on building her confidence in herself and her ability to perform in the workplace.
Blaser states “I was a big source of motivation and encouragement for Angelina on her journey to gaining employment and experience too.”
Several appointments later, with her confidence being at an all-time high, Blaser and Angelina began the job hunt. Within no time at all, Angelina was invited for an interview with a local employer and was hired for the part time position.
In this new phase of her journey, Blaser was able to financially support Angelina to purchase work clothing and transport vouchers to ensure she would arrive safely to work.
Angelina is thankful for all of the support she has received from the atWork Australia team.
“Since starting, she is feeling more confident and energetic, both within and outside of the workplace.” – Blaser, atWork Australia Job Coach.
