Workforce Australia client, Renee, was working in a stable casual position for many years. Then, suddenly, the business was sold, and Renee was left without a job.
This was a complete shock to Renee, who was then left with the realisation that as a casual employee she had no leave entitlements to rely on while she looked for a new job.
This sudden unemployment impacted Renee’s mental health. When she was connected to atWork Australia in Norlane, VIC she met Job Coach, Jackie.
“Since starting with atWork Australia, Renee has been busy upskilling and working on her employment goals,” said Jackie.
Renee has been referred to our in-house wellness services for support. She has also participated in a few other internal programs such as Money Minded, giving her the tools to budget within her new situation.
She also participated in our Jobs Now program to update her resume and learn tips on how the job search market has changed since she last needed to look for work.
“We have also supported Renee to complete her first aid certificate as her goal is to work in community services,” said Jackie.
When Renee landed an interview, she advised Jackie her unreliable transport meant she was unable to attend.
Jackie promptly arranged repairs for Renee’s vehicle which is now all sorted and back on the road.
“Renee is excited and making good progress towards her next employment opportunity,” said Jackie.
“I cannot thank you all enough for the support and encouragement I have received,” said client Renee.
