When Monica started working with the atWork Australia team in Brookvale, New South Wales, she had a few things going on during this time. She was the principal carer of her child, living with disability, experiencing unstable accommodation, and had some health challenges.
The Brookvale team was understanding and provided flexibility to Monica, so she could prioritise her health.

Monica had a goal to start her own cleaning business. The team supported her to organise an ABN number and supported her financially with work related clothing, including boots.
They encouraged and supported her in her new business, providing ideas for promotion and celebrating her successes.
Monica was able to bring her daughter along to the family friendly atWork Australia office, ensuring she could still attend her appointments.
Monica is still currently working with atWork Australia as part of our in-work support program, so she can continue to be supported until she feels her hours are consistent enough.
