Mirrabooka business achieves top honour

A Mirrabooka buisness has won a 2005 Prime Minister's Employer of the Year Award. The Centrelink Mirrabooka office won the award, which recognised businesses in the Australian Government category employing people with disabilities.
Federal member for Stirling Michael Kennan presented it.
"It's fantastic that Centrelink Mirrabooka have been recognised nationally for their leadership and innovation in creating employment opportunities for disabled people in Stirling," he said.
"I congratulate them on their initiatives..ensuring that these individuals are provided with an opportunity to fulfil their potential and to achieve success in the workforce."
The office, which was nominated by disability employment service Work Australia, was one of 300 nominated employers.
