My name is Wayne Simmons. Part of my role is to help people find employment.
So I would go around and liaise with businesses, you know, to make sure our candidates get in and we have a lot of fun doing that and it's been a fantastic experience.
The greatest thing about it is seeing them down the track looking more confident, they're feeling better about themselves, looking better and enjoying their life more and being able to more importantly support their families and loved ones.
I think too we have great staff and everybody gets along really well and we do it as a team and I think that's most important, cause you know you will have those days but if you have a team concept and everybody works together you can't help but get a winning result.
One of the people that we helped, he had been long term unemployed. He had been unemployed for eleven years. We started him out with a program where he worked for two weeks, doing a bit of labouring work, you know, get his self confindence up which is most important in this aspect when you've been long term unemployed and then two weeks later we got him a permanant job as a driver and he's still in that job today and loves it and couple weeks ago he was able to see his daughter who's 21 years old get married, walk down the isle, he was a very proud dad and he's starting to turn his life around so those are just some of the many things that can happen with atWork Australia.
