Hi my name's Simone. I moved to Perth as a single mum. I've been race horses and in the Race Industry for about seven years. I had an injury to my shoulder which prevented me from doing any heavy lifting at all. I was riding in a track saddle which puts you in a forward position, the horse stopped, jumped in the air, my shoulder connected with it's neck and dislocated my shoulder. So I had to go back to retail and administration skills that I had developed years and years ago, which hadn't been used in quite some time.
I was connected to atWork through Centrelink. They matched me with Milica at atWork. She was my case worker. It took them a week to find me my job. A week from when I actually went in and saw them to when I started my job. No matter what time of day it was, no matter what day of the week all I had to do was call atWork and they were there for any questions or anything I needed they were always friendly happy to help.
I'd just like to say thank you to atWork Australia for finding me my job and getting me back into and industry that I can work in again.
